Impact ON’s Team Impact
Team Impact is the place where contracts received by Impact ON are implemented in the field, alongside people, companies and communities. It is staffed by a multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary team who deliver contracts, services and programs to our customers, members and community groups to the highest standards. Its sole aim is to produce a quality impact. Its structure is based on three working branches: Competence (services to people), Strategy (services to organizations) and Sustainability (services to communities).
Details on the JOB OFFER
The Consultant is assigned to the Skills Branch within Team Impact. The Skills Branch specializes in building the capacity of people of all ages through a variety of programs. Typical work may include financial literacy training, coordinating and delivering pre-incubation or incubation programs, or organizing community events and training.
Job summary
Reporting directly to the Skills Branch Manager within Team Impact, the Consultant is responsible for delivering financial literacy workshops to young people up to grade 12ᵉ (accrediting training is provided). These courses take place in schools, at summer camps, in other settings or even virtually. In addition to this, the Consultant develops and delivers training related to Impact ON’s pre-incubation and incubation pathways, with a view to building the capacities of individuals and entrepreneurs.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Promote financial literacy programs to the target market.
- Deliver financial literacy workshops.
- Promote pre-incubation or incubation programs to target markets.
- Ensure coordination and delivery of pre-incubation or incubation programs.
- Contribute to program management in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
- Collect satisfaction data and contribute to the production of quality reports.
- Find ways to optimize your work while keeping customer satisfaction in mind.
- Communicate effectively and professionally both internally and externally, in line with the organization’s values.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines and targets set by the Manager.
Skills required
- Interpersonal skills and approachability, especially with young people and people from diverse backgrounds.
- Versatility, adaptability, professional curiosity, organizational skills and initiative.
- Great pedagogy, willingness to learn and to pass on what she has learned within the framework of structured programs.
- Customer relations skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in French and English, especially orally.
- Comfortable using standard office software and remote working tools.
- Strong ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and experience required
- Post-secondary diploma in a field related to the humanities and social sciences, business administration, education, economics or law.
- Experience in leading groups of people and good ability to connect with them.
- Experience in entrepreneurial support, particularly social or cooperative.
- Otherwise, any combination of training, experience and skills will be taken into consideration.
Compensation and benefits
- Between $55,000 and $70,000 annually upon hiring for a full-time position, depending on skills and experience.
- Excellent benefits with Desjardins and 100% employer-paid after 3 months of service.
- Pension plan with employer contributions, after 1 year’s service.
Working conditions
- Contract until March 31, 2025, with possibility of renewal and progression, plus a 3-month probation period.
- Part-time or full-time.
- Employment in Toronto or Hamilton with occasional travel to the other location.
