Non-profit organizations
NPOs have a significant social impact, in Canada and around the world. They help solve social problems, promote inclusion, strengthen local communities and improve the quality of life for many Canadians.
These organizations vary considerably in terms of their missions and areas of intervention. They can be involved in sectors such as health, education, humanitarian aid, culture, the environment, human rights, housing, the fight against poverty, and many others. Each NPO has a specific mission that it seeks to accomplish for the good of society.
We have a very special relationship with NPOs, not simply because we are one ourselves, but because they represent the desire of many of our fellow citizens to put people before profit, to improve society as a whole rather than to amass wealth for an individual.
Find out how we’re helping NPOs improve our society, one step at a time.

Education | Association of Cooperative Educators
Since 2018, the Association of Cooperative Educators, an organization dedicated to strengthening the cooperative movement by promoting innovative educational responses to social and economic change, has been one of the organizations under our direct management. As ACE is based in the United States and occupies an important place in the agricultural cooperative movement, a forerunner in terms of cooperation, our repeatedly renewed relationship has enabled us to open up an unsuspected part of the North American cooperative universe. Every year, we organize the ACE Institute for ACE, a renowned and eagerly-awaited event that has been running for over 60 years. Its themes change with each edition, but focus in particular on ways to raise the profile of the cooperative movement, the successes of different cooperative ecosystems in North America, and the outlook for the sector.
Development | Young Canada Works
As well as being a boon for those seeking work experience, this program enables employers to recruit dynamic, motivated young people who bring a fresh, innovative perspective to their teams. These young people, often endowed with advanced skills and adaptability to new technologies, can stimulate innovation within the organization.
The wage subsidies available through YCW enable employers to reduce the costs of hiring young workers. In the case of NPOs, the advantage is tenfold: not only can they benefit from subsidies, but they are entitled to a higher rate of financing, i.e. up to 70%.
